Triangular Half Moons Nail Art

23 July 2013

*Polishes used in this post were provided to me as a PR sample*

Hey everyone! Today I have another Essie manicure... a purple and fuchsia chevron using two shades from the Essie Summer 2013 Collection. Click here to see my swatches of the entire collection and my thoughts on each polish.

Today's manicure is a simple chevron using your everyday Scotch tape! Since the nail art itself is so simple, you can create this manicure in many different colour, texture, and/or glitter combinations. I personally really like the girls are out and am really happy with this pairing!

To create this look:
  • I started with a coat of all in one base coat by essie followed by two coats of full steam ahead by essie
  • I taped off each nail with Scotch tape such that the triangular area remained exposed... I painted over it with one coat of the girls are out by essie and removed the tape slowly while the polish was still wet
  • And as always, I finished off with a coat of good to go top coat by essie

Since I really love this manicure, I have two more pictures to show you!

Hope you enjoyed today's post! Check back later today and on Thursday for day 3 and 4 of the July Tri-Polish Challenge!
