Nail Polish Review - Cirque Heritage Collection

29 July 2014

I have always admired Cirque polishes from afar... but I never ordered any of the polishes. Things changed when this collection was announced... I just knew I had to have Cerillos, the turquoise holo beauty in the collection!!! IT IS GORGEOUS!!

As I started seeing swatches of the remainder of the polishes, I couldn't resist and bought the entire collection! Here is a collage of the entire collection... perfect for Instagram and Pinterest!

Overall Comments:
How pretty is every single shade in this collection?!?! Can you believe that these are my very FIRST holographic polishes? I am in LOVE! Each polish has a rainbow holographic finish and the formula is pretty consistent. There are a few shades that were not as pigmented and required 3 coats but overall I am super happy with the formula and application. It is so rare to love every single polish in a collection and I can't wait to see what Cirque comes up with in their next collection!

Sani: a silver foil with a rainbow holographic finish
Colour: Silver | Finish: Holographic | # of Coats: 3 | Topcoat: No | Rating: 8.5/10

Comments: Sani is not as pigmented and has a thinner formula which is why it needed the 3rd coat. It dries very smooth and is super reflective. It definitely has the strongest holo effect in this collection. I am very happy to add a staple (silver holo) to my collection.

Luminous Owl: a warm coral with a rainbow holographic finish
Colour: Coral | Finish: Holographic | # of Coats: 2 | Topcoat: No | Rating: 8.5/10

Comments: Luminous Owl is very pigmented and has a strong holo effect but it dries to a satin-matte finish. Although not the most exciting colour of this collection, it is very pretty and perfect when you need a neutral for work... the colour is warm and looks great against the skin but the holo finish adds some excitement!

Powwow: an electric fuchsia with a rainbow holographic finish
Colour: Fuchsia | Finish: Holographic | # of Coats: 3 | Topcoat: No | Rating: 9/10

Comments: Powwow has a really good holo effect and the same satin-matte finish. The formula is not very pigmented like some of the others and required a 3rd coat. Fuchsia polishes usually look funny against my skin tone but this shade is warm, bright and a great pink for my skin tone!

Xochitl: a radiant orchid with a rainbow holographic finish
Colour: Purple | Finish: Holographic | # of Coats: 2 | Topcoat: No | Rating: 9/10

Comments: Xochitl is a beautiful purple... I usually hate the way purple looks on me but Xochitl is different... it looks amazing! It is has a perfect formula that can be a one coater if the first coat is generously applied. It does have the same satin-matte finish so you would need a top coat for a super glossy look.

Sky Woman: a deep periwinkle with a rainbow holographic finish
Colour: Periwinkle | Finish: Holographic | # of Coats: 2 | Topcoat: No | Rating: 10/10

Comments: Sky Woman is gorgeous! I keep saying that about every shade in this collection but this gets a 10/10 in my books! I love this softer shade of blue... it is a very unique addition to my collection! The formula is very pigmented and has the same matte finish but I found the holo effect a little weak.

Cerillos: a vivid turquoise with a rainbow holographic finish
Colour: Turquoise | Finish: Holographic | # of Coats: 2 | Topcoat: Yes | Rating: 10/10

Comments: Cerillos is my FAVOURITE polish in my ENTIRE collection! It is the reason I bought this collection and my first Cirque polishes and it definitely surpassed my expectations on its gorgeous-ness!!! Are you really surprised that I love this polish? The formula was great and it dries to a satin-matte finish. I did apply top coat to this swatch as I initially swatched it for the NPC Giveaway.

Panacea: a flashy chartreuse with a rainbow holographic finish
Colour: Chartreuse Green | Finish: Holographic | # of Coats: 3 | Topcoat: No | Rating: 9/10

Comments: Panacea is such a fun and bright colour... and I have nothing like it in my collection! The holo effect of this gorgeous chartreuse is predominantly yellow-orange shades versus a rainbow spectrum. The formula was not as pigmented and did require a 3rd coat. And like most of this collection, it dried to a satin-matte finish.

Hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on this collection.

I love, love, love the entire collection!!! Every polish got a score of 8.5 or higher... which is rare to love every polish in an entire collection! But if I had to narrow it down, I'd definitely go with Cerillos (obviously) and Sky Woman! And Xochitl, Panacea and Powwow are my second favourites! Which shades are your favourites?
