Let's see some of that amazing stamping skill in action below!

Hello my fellow "My Life in Turquoise" Fans! I'm so thrilled to be here. It's been a while since a blogger asked me to guest post and it made it that much sweeter that it was Hetal who asked! I've been a follower of her lovely Instagram account for quite some time and was happy to fill in while she spends an amazing vacation in India!

So without further ado I give you a little sample of my work...

I thought it perfectly fitting to include a turquoise design, particularly because its one of my favourite manicure colours.

This look was created using Loreal Not a Cloud in Sight and the stamp is my own personal design from the new CYO Bundle Monster set, BM-604. I know Hetal had two of her designs on BM-605 and I can't wait to try them out!

Well, I think I've spammed you all with enough photos. I hope you like my work and if you'd like to see more you can head over to my blog: Kelsie's Nail Files.

Thank you so much Hetal for hosting me on your blog!

Xo Kelsie

29 December 2014

Hi Everyone! While I'm away on vacation, I am super lucky to have several bloggers guest post for me! Next up is Maddy from spilledpolish. I recently discovered her blog and was really excited to find out that she is also a Canadian blogger! I love her clean and simple ideas and she has prepared a Christmas nail art post for my blog. I know it's past Christmas, but I still want to post it for everyone since she worked so hard for it. So let's check it out!

Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone, I'm Maddy from spilledpolish, and Hetal asked me weeks ago to put together a post for her while she is gone on vacation. I got SO busy and couldn't do my nails for awhile, but thought I should do my nails for Christmas and share it with all of you! I hope you all have the time off and can spend it with family and friends.. or relaxing and doing your nails haha.

I started off by painting my nails two coats of Beyond the Nail - Red Microglitter. When fully dried, I applied one coat of PRO-FX - Complete 3 (top coat) on all my nails, and placed some glitter from the Xmas Mix glitter pot from The Sparkly Shop on my nails using my wax pencil. On my ring finger, I applied a cute Christmas Tree Snowglobe Nail Charm from The Sparkly Shop!

______________________________________________

That is definitely a festive manicure! I love the glitter and nail charms and they go perfectly with the glittery red nail polish. Once again, I'm sorry Maddy for delaying this post but I hope everyone still enjoy it. Thank you so much Maddy for preparing this beautiful guest post for my blog!

Hi Everyone! While I'm away on vacation, I am super lucky to have several bloggers guest post for me! Next up is Andrea from Colour Your Life. Andrea is a super sweet blogger that has been supporting my blog for a long time! She prepares very creative nail art that are colourful and very cute! I am so happy that she agreed to guest post for me today. Let's check out her wonderful winter-y manicure!
______________________________________________

When Hetal asked me to make a guest post, I was extremely happy because I love her blog and nails! So thank you for this opportunity and thank you for asking me, it is a huge honor!

I created a base gradient with my bellowed turquoise polish by Bobbi Brown, a pastel blue shade by Gabrini and a white shimmer polish by Rimmel called White Hot Love.

And yes, I have chosen the turquoise polish because of the name of Hetal's blog :) I hopped this gradient with a glitter polish by Moyra to achieve the effect of the sparkling snow in the sun.

Then, with white acrylic paint and a thin detail brush, I painted the snowflakes. The manicure is finished with a gel look top coat.

Don't you love this frosty and sparkly snowflake nail art?! It is perfect for winter and I love that Andrea chose to feature my favourite colour in her manicure! This definitely my favourite gradient combination... what a perfect way to glam it up for the season! Thank you so much Andrea for preparing this amazing guest post for my blog!

Guest Post by Paulina's Passions

25 December 2014

She is a very talented nail artist and has a unique style. Paulina is known for her amazing and creative use of floral designs. I love how she combines colours and graphical elements! Her instagram is definitely a big source of inspiration for me! I am very very excited that Paulina has prepared a guest post for my blog... let's check it out!
______________________________________________

Hi everyone. I am so happy to be here with you today! My name is Paulina and I am running Paulina's Passions blog. I will be taking over Hetal's blog for one day and while she is enjoying her vacation we are going to talk about some easy, festive nail art you can do during the holidays. I am really honored to be sharing my nails on My Life in Turquoise, as I have been following Hetal's nail art adventures for a while. Her nail are so neat and nail art amazing. we can all agree on that!

I started off my mani by painting my nails black. I used my favorite black nail polish, which is LVX Livid. If You have never tried this nail polish and you want a really good black with amazing quality, this is the one to go for. It's super opaque and you only need one coat!

Then I took my favorite magical glitter, Fairy Dust by China Glaze, and topped the black base with it. I wanted this look to be super sparkly for the holidays. Fairy Dust is a must-have for a nail polish lover! Once everything was nice and dry, I took my striping tape and made diagonal triangles. I filled them in with beautiful golden glitter called Live, Love, Laugh by Il Était Un Vernis and took the tape off before the nail polish could dry.

I topped all the sparkliness with a good layer of top coat and the mani was ready! Easy, right?

I hope you like these glittery, festive nails and maybe you can recreate them during he holidays! I wanted to thank Hetal for inviting me here. I hope you have amazing holidays sweetie and come back to us soon!

If you liked this look and want to connect for more nail art you can always visit Paulina's Passions blog, Facebook or Instagram.

Wow! That is definitely very sparkly and festive for sure! This would be a perfect look for a New Year's Party or any other holiday party. I absolutely love it and it surely is an easy look to replicate. Don't you just love how sparkly it is?! I need to get myself a bottle of Live, Love, Laugh! Thank you so much Paulina for preparing this beautiful guest post for my blog!

Guest Post by Amateur Manicure

24 December 2014

Hi Everyone! While I'm away on vacation, I am super lucky to have several bloggers guest post for me! Next up is Suzann from Amateur Manicure. I have a major crush on her blog! She has the most beautiful nails, pictures, swatches and gorgeous nail art! Seriously... amazing! I am super excited that she agreed to guest post for me today. Let's check out what she prepared.
______________________________________________

Hello, My Life in Turquoise readers! I’m so excited and honored to share this guest post with you while Hetal is enjoying some time away. As soon as she invited me to post, I got right to work brainstorming possible nail art ideas—and thanks to her blog’s cute name, the concept I kept coming back to was “turquoise.” (So original, I know!)

I love turquoise stone nails in the classic turquoise blue shades, but I wanted to try a more unconventional color palette this time around. Red and gold are big this time of year, of course, and red & black is one of my all-time favorite color combinations, so this look felt like a natural choice for me.

There’s quite a bit more gold in these nails than in actual red turquoise stone, but what can I say—I can’t resist the sparkle! I think that extra pop would make this a fantastic manicure to pair with a little black dress at a swanky holiday party.

For my base color, I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Red My Lips and then added a little Julep Anisa with a crumpled ball of saran wrap to give the red some extra depth. Next, using more saran wrap, I added the gold: Priti NYC Polish in Chrysanthos. Finally, to get the crackly, veined effect with the black, I dripped Julep Cleopatra into water (similar to the beginning of a water marble) and misted it with hairspray before dipping each nail one by one. Everything is topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Thanks for having me, Hetal!

Awwwww! I love the festive take on my favourite coloured stone! I love how you were inspired by my blog name... an amazing personal touch! Like Suzann mentioned, a look like this would look AMAH-ZING at a swanky holiday party this season. Thank you so much Suzann for preparing this amazing guest post for my blog!

Happy to bring you a special post!
Sweet Hetal is enjoying some time off (still jealous, girl ;)) and she invited me to guest post for her meanwhile.

My Life in Turquoise is such a bright place to spend some time - really, Hetal's nails are always so nice and neat, her swatches are gorgeous to look at and her nail art is the cutest!
So, I happily prepared something sweet for her:

Peppermint candy canes! 'tis the season after all ;)

I was inspired by this adorable peppermint-t nail polish: Purple Professional Wonderland. It's cute and it covers in two charming coats without any hassle.

I then freehanded the peppermint canes, with red and white acrylic paint and my detail nail art brush. Though not perfect, they still look quite nice, don't you think?

I hope you like these, Hetal, dear and thank you for this special invitation - much appreciated, hun.
Have a great time in India (you lucky, lucky girl ;)).

For those of you who didn't know me, if you liked what you saw, join me at Cubbiful, over on Facebook or via Instagram :)

See you there!

Hugs & Kissies,
Mina

Guest Post by Polished Elegance

19 December 2014

Hi Everyone! While I'm away on vacation, I am super lucky to have several bloggers guest post for me! First up is Lisa from Polished Elegance. I am a long-time follower and love her nail art and swatches. Her work always amazes me! I am so honoured that she agreed to guest post for me today. As her blog name suggests, she has prepared a very elegant nail art look for today's guest post.
______________________________________________

Hi guys! My name is Lisa, I run the blog Polished Elegance and I am super happy to share my nails with you today! I decided to go for a holiday themed manicure and this one is actually inspired by my table cloth ;)

I used OPI - My Vampire is Buff as my base, then I painted a very thin coat of Shimmer Polish - Lindsey. Lindsey is a pretty dense gold glitter polish, so I was careful to remove most of the polish from the brush before applying it, because I only wanted a faint sparkle. Over this sparkly base I stamped using OPI - Glitzerland and MoYou London plate Festive Collection - 02.

I like the very subtle look of this manicure, it's festive, but still elegant and not like "in your face"-Christmas, so it could also be worn on new year's eve or even as a winter manicure!

I hope you like my manicure, maybe it gave you an idea for something to wear for the upcoming holidays? Please come visit me at my blog if you liked my manicure, and thank you so much Hetal for having me here!

I hope you're having a fantastic time in India! And seriously how cool is it to be in India? It seems like such an amazing place to visit!

I don't know about you but I am absolutely loving this delicate and sparkly nail art! It is perfect for the holiday season and winter in general. What I really love is the combination of this beautiful beige/off-white with gold... genius and ELEGANT! Thank you so much Lisa for preparing this amazing guest post for my blog!
