Seashells and Waves Nail Art

8 August 2014

Recently I have been posting a lot of press releases, swatches and reviews. After a very very very long time... I have some nail art for you today!

Born Pretty Store was kind enough to send me these 5mm Gold Shell Design Nail Art Decoration to review. You can get a 10% discount on your purchase with my BPS coupon code KVL91.

In my spare time I use Bloglovin to follow and read a ton of blogs... and I instantly fell in LOVE with this skittlette by the nail polish challenge and knew I had to recreate it. I didn't have the same colours or the stamping plate but I improvised and came up with something very close!

I used 2 shades from the essie Neon 2014 Collection...i'm addicted (the neon aquamarine blue) and chills & thrills (the blue violet) to create the gradients on my pointer and pinky fingers. I then added 5mm gold seashells from the Born Pretty Store. (Use my code KVL91 for a 10% discount)

The seashell studs are very easy to use! I just applied a small amount of nail glue and stuck the shell studs onto my nails. One of the shells fell off after 2 days but it is because I did not seal it with a layer of top coat to hold the studs in place. I think next time, I will use additional glue and try adding a layer of top coat. Overall, I am very happy with the product.

I used chills & thrills as the base colour on my ring finger and stamped the circular wavy pattern with Pueen 13 using good as gold by essie.

And for my super sparkly nail, I started with a base of good as gold by essie and added 2 coats of Ica Valley by Cirque to get that lovely sparkle!

So what do you think? I love the combination of the aqua blue and the blurple... I think I will be repeating it very soon!

As I mentioned above, here is the coupon code that will give you 10% off when you shop at the Born Pretty Store website. If you are in Canada, you can change the currency to $ CAD at the top right corner of the page. BPS offers FREE shipping worldwide and it will take around 5-6 weeks to receive your purchase in Canada. They also sell other products... not just nail art supplies.
