Polka Dots Nail Art
29 September 2014
It's Day 29 of the 31 Day Challenge (31DC2014) and today's prompt is Inspired by the Supernatural!
This prompt can be interpreted in so many ways and I chose the happier magical creatures... unicorns! And the perfect base for this simple mani is unicorn by piCture pOlish, a recent collaboration shade by Allie from Brit Nails. You can read about Allie's inspiration and process here.

It's Day 21 of the 31 Day Challenge (31DC2014) and today's prompt is Inspired by a Color!
Most bloggers interpret this by using a particular nail polish name and creating nail art that reflects it... but are you really surprised I used today's prompt to showcase a simple nail art with my favourite colour... Turquoise?! It's not all turquoise but it's a perfect ombre.

It's Day 13 of the 31 Day Challenge (31DC2014) and today's prompt is Animal Print!
I have always wanted to create peacock themed nails and I had the perfect water decals to create today's nail art! All I had to do was look for the perfect base colour to pair the feathers with... and this is what I came up with:

It's Day 05 of the 31 Day Challenge (31DC2014) and today's prompt is Blue Nails... obviously my favourite!
So I usually have a little mental plan of what each day's nail art will look like and I have been so excited for today's prompt because I had a very specific idea and had picked out very specific colours to showcase today. And trust me... it is such an awesome idea BUT (yes, there's always a big but, eh?) it just didn't translate as well as I had expected. Don't you just HATE when that happens?!
So I sat around and tried on a few things and I was just so frustrated becasue it is my favourite colour and I couldn't come up with something I loved! Especially since my last year's attempt (click here) was so amaze-balls that it is one of my favourite nail art posts ever!
I then opened up some nail mail and I decided I was going to use one the new piCture pOlish collaboration shades... can you guess which one?

Recently I have been posting a lot of press releases, swatches and reviews. After a very very very long time... I have some nail art for you today!
Born Pretty Store was kind enough to send me these 5mm Gold Shell Design Nail Art Decoration to review. You can get a 10% discount on your purchase with my BPS coupon code KVL91.
In my spare time I use Bloglovin to follow and read a ton of blogs... and I instantly fell in LOVE with this skittlette by the nail polish challenge and knew I had to recreate it. I didn't have the same colours or the stamping plate but I improvised and came up with something very close!

Today's post is dedicated to my mom - a very special person that no one can replace! It's too bad I did not get to spend the day with her but I am excited to see her next weekend! My mom is the most amazing mom out there! I'm sure a lot of you think that way about your moms. Mine is very loving and caring and super supportive of me and I am so proud of everything she has accomplished. She is a strong, independent and has been a true inspiration for me to be who I am today.
So I have something very girly and pretty for her today. I did end up using my favourite colour, turquoise but she'll understand, because she's amazing like that!

Hey everyone! For today's manicure I use scotch tape to create an explosion design. I learnt this technique and design from the Explosion Tutorial by Nailside. Jane's tutorials are amazing and her blog is one of the first that I started following. Her blog has been a huge inspiration for me to start my own and I have been meaning to try out some of her tutorials!
