Pin Wheels Nail Art

11 May 2013

Hey everyone! I have been working on a few nail art ideas using the NEW essie Summer 2013 Collection, which is coming out at the end of June 2013. You can check out swatches and my thoughts on the collection here.
Disclaimer: Polishes used in this post were provided to me as a PR sample.

Today I have a bright summery design... using the greens from this collection -  the more the merrier is a nice lime green creme and naughty nautical is a beautiful blue-green teal with a subtle silver shimmer. I created a pin wheel design using regular scotch tape! I got bored of it the second day and changed it up a little bit. This is a good example of how you can re-use a design and recreate something new.

To create the the first look:
  • I started with 2 coats of the more the merrier by Essie
  • I then applied tape cut into triangles to create a pin wheel design
  • I then painted a coat of naughty nautical by Essie and removed each piece of tape while the polish was still wet

To create the second look:
  • I painted a coat of naughty nautical by Essie on my pointer and pinky fingers.
  • I then stuck on a matching green rhinestone in the centre of the middle and ring fingers and secured it with top coat

Hope you enjoyed reading today's post and were inspired to reuse some of your manicures to create something new!

  2. I love the lime green and it's always good when you can reuse a mani in a different look :)
